They say, "write what you know," and this is what I know about being a Dad for the first time. In fact, the next few pages will be fairly autobiographical. Page 18 especially.

Below is a handy "Donate" button, but think of it more as a "Put me in the running for a free fuckin' Locus comic!" button. See the forum for details!

Synopsis
A half-succubus, half-human girl with a cursed sword and a foul mouth. An invisible, inhuman killer she calls "Uncle Spook". Werewolves. Vampires. Necromancers. Succubi. And more. So much more. Welcome to the world of Locus. Locus is an ongoing horror series broken up into three-issue stories full of Boobs, Blood and Bad Language (tm). If you're weary of all the tired old horror-movie cliches, then Locus is what you've been looking for. This series is for the hardcore horror fans who like a little back-story tucked into all the violence. Tweenies who prefer their vampires all sparkly and romantic will be disappointed, as will those people who like their horror stories full of annoying, hipster college kids with unlimited cell phone coverage. On the other hand, if you're one of those people who believe a horror story should have a lot of naked breasts, snarling monsters and profanity...welcome home! Written and drawn by former Kiss 4K writer/artist Adam Black, Locus is a showcase for the kind of comics Adam likes to make when left to his own devices, uncensored and unbound.

Ahahahah, new dad freakouts are awesome. Especially if it's from a one-night stand and you didn't know until just before birth. Bonus points for being with a supernatural creature :D

I've heard people having this conversation before, close enough. Only it was in a bar, and there was an awesome tab awaiting their departure.

Hey, a new father has to think of these things -- My Little Succubus Pampers can't be easy to find. There's probably only one store in the whole area that carries them, and they probably keep bankers hours. Isaac's certainly had one hell of a day. XD

ha ha. Well I guess if you found out the one night stand you had was already about to have contractions, you'd grab the first free moment you had to freak out about it! Great stuff. Kinda unexpected too!

Hilarious! :-D Don't know, if I'm more amused from moondoggie's unability to understand the troubles of fathers or from Isaac's troubles :-D

I think that it's actually rather reassuring that the largest (at least, first) problem that he sees with a child that could have horns and a tail is diaper issues...

Hm, this raises new questions about Locus being the only child? As I have understood that succubi always give birth to twins, so does that work for lili'tu (and is that spelled correctly)

When Ca'Cubi (succubi and incubi) get together, the offspring is almost always fraternal twins--male and female. Rarely, we get twin succubi. With Lili'tu, however, it's different. A succubus impregnated by a human gives birth to a Lili'tu female, as is the case with Locus. An incubus impregnating a human female gives birth to a Lili'tu male, as is the case with John Dee. Every Lili'tu is an only child. In short: the gender of the Ca'Cubic parent determines the gender of the Lili'tu, which is why Eden knows she's carrying a girl and not a boy. I was going to put all this into the script at some point, but it kept getting axed due to space limitations and pacing. At some point, I'll reintroduce it somewhere else. To be honest, it's interesting trivia, but not necessarily important to the stories thus far.

So what Hampstead needed specifically wasn't the Lili'tu daughter of a human and a Succubi, but the daughter of one of the rare Succubi twins? It's been so long since it was covered, I've sort of forgotten. Now just waiting on the reason for naming her 'Locus,' unless it's one of those cases where the name is descriptive of her future, saying that she'll become a Focal Point of Power or somesuch.

Soranic, i know somewhere on the website is the meaning of the word Locus, and a few issues ago it looked as though eden had explained it. and it seems fitting of a parent to think their child is the best thing ever. i mean just look at the meaning of most regular indigeni names. anyhow, this page is adorable, and i'm gonna say it again, moondoggie, put some pants on man, srsly. not to say hes not hella sexy, i mean being a werewolf by itself is ridiculously sexy, but hes just epic.... i'd tap it. even with all that nasty blood on him :o

Hampstead's motives regarding Locus still aren't 100% clear. He's one of those mysterious bad guys. Even though Dee talked about him when he met Isaac, he barely scratched the surface. One of these days, I'm going to do an entire comic from Hampstead's point of view, and it will (or should) have an almost-Lovecraftian degree of madness. As for the name "Locus"...check the inside front cover to Issue One. And kokomunky (or anyone else) can send me a PM by clicking my name and then choosing the "send message" link.

That should be an… interesting comic, Adam. One thing I'd love to know—was the stuff (or attempted snuff, call it what you will) in Moscow part of his greater plan, or an incredible (considering Eddie's resources) cock-up? Not that we'll likely find the truth of that in the proposed comic—insane villains all seem to go all PeeWee Herman about their mistakes.

The assassination of Rasputin will indeed be part of Hampstead's story. There's one thing in particular about that story which will come up sometime after Issue 10 or so. It's disturbing.

as if it werent suspenseful enough just waiting for the next page, you have to go and drop spoilers on us like that...! you're a vindictive advertiser, Adam Black. I love the gloss over Issac's eyes in the last frame.

One thing in particular about the assassination of Rasputin? Like how every dish at the dinner was laced with enough poison to kill a man after a bite or two. While he lived through dessert, and going back for seconds? Found the definition of Locus in the inside cover. My guess is that her name was chosen to represent all 3 meanings.
